About the role

Our partner supports the Australian industry, particularly startups and small—to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in its pursuit of innovation. As a Program Facilitator, you'll be at the heart of this exciting journey, helping to connect and nurture collaborations between industry and research organizations.

Your primary focus will be on accelerator programs, but you'll also facilitate and deliver upskilling initiatives pitched at industry and/or the research sector. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, loves to see ideas come to life, and gets a kick out of helping others succeed.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • You'll bring together startups, SMEs, industry partners, research institutions, and investors
  • Help startups and SMEs expand internationally. You'll be their trusted sidekick as they navigate market entry, plan pilots, and deliver R&D projects
  • Develop and deliver training sessions that make innovation and internationalization seem like a thrilling adventure rather than a daunting challenge
  • As a trusted advisor for our partner's programs, you'll adapt to changing needs with grace
  • Contribute to program performance targets and service standards
  • Be the voice of our partner's programs in public and industry forums
  • Uphold our partner's values, safety standards, and diversity initiatives, showing that innovation thrives in an inclusive environment

To join our innovation journey, you'll need:

  • A mix of science/engineering and business know-how (tertiary qualifications preferred)
  • A track record in business growth, strategy, technology development, innovation, R&D, and/or commercialization, especially with science or tech-focused startups and SMEs
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships across the innovation ecosystem
  • Experience in B2B matching, negotiation, and representation
  • A talent for developing and delivering workshops that make entrepreneurship and innovation feel accessible and exciting
  • Excellent people skills and a history of contributing to high-performing teams
