About the role
Our partner is on a mission to nurture and support students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) career pathways through their exciting ten-year initiative. As an Education Project Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering the STEM Community Partnerships Program (STEM CPP), creating strong connections between local schools and industry.
Your adventure will involve:
- Working with internal and external program teams to deliver engaging STEM-related activities
- Collaborating with relevant schools, industry, and organizations to expand the program's reach
- Connecting with schools, businesses, and local councils to build sustainable relationships and provide the support they need to thrive in the program
- Designing and leading face-to-face and virtual training workshops, including teacher professional development
- Organizing exciting activities such as site visits, careers events, and work experience opportunities that will greatly impact students
- Managing workload distribution and other priorities to ensure program outputs are timely
To join our partner on this journey, you'll need:
- Education, STEM, project management, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience in facilitating teacher training with an extensive understanding of how to align it with the curriculum
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; to be able to build and maintain productive relationships and networking with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Exceptional project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and judgement, as well as the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks with the appropriate evidence-based solutions
